Posted May 16, 2012

Music for Miracles, featuring Josh Shilling of Mountain Heart and the Kings, will be held Sunday, May 20 from noon to 6 p.m. at Nesselrod Bed & Breakfast Amphitheater in Radford.

Southwest Virginia has more than  27,000 children a year that need a miracle. May is for Miracles and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals are hosting an outside concert on the lawn of Nesselrod Bed and Breakfast to help raise funds for those sick and injured children. Music for Miracles will feature a concert by Josh Shilling, of Mountain Heart, alongside The Kings, who have a long history together as Shilling started his musical career traveling with the band.

Gates will open at noon on Sunday, May 20, and food, wine, and beer will be available for purchase from Bull & Bones Brewhaus & Grill. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the gate, with children under 12 admitted for free. The public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Outside coolers and pets are not permitted. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 224-4747 through Friday, May 18 at 2 p.m.

Music for Miracles will raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Southwest Virginia, which raises funds for the purchase of equipment and services at Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital, the area’s only nonprofit children’s hospital treating more than  27,000 children a year.
