Art Pannonia to host ‘Alternate Realities’ artists reception Friday, Aug. 3
Art Pannonia presents a new exhibition of abstract paintings and metal designs titled “Alternate Realities” by Erika Nicholson and Pris Sears.
Nicholson is one of the best-selling artists of the gallery. She is a graduate of the Virginia Tech School of Architecture, works as a freelance architect, and raises three sons with husband Raven. Every two years she puts together a show of new paintings for Art Pannonia. Erika has a unique and recognizable style: the sharp edges in “Lance,” big molars in “Dragon’s Kiss,” the turbulent water and opposing fire blending ghost-like elements in “River Through Hades.”
Sears was born in Florida and lives in Virginia, currently working in Plant Pathology. She has been making metal art for many years. Pris and Erika started to collaborate a few years ago and developed amazing masks, abstract sculptures and gargoyles.
The reception for these talented artists will coincide with the Steppin’ Out festival. A Meet-the-Artists reception will be held Friday, Aug. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the ART PANNONIA gallery at 114 N. Main St. in Blacksburg. The exhibition runs until Oct. 1.
