Blacksburg Transit to offer free shuttle for Steppin’ Out
Steppin’ Out festival-goers will have an alternate parking option during this year’s event in Blacksburg.
Blacksburg Transit will be operating a free shuttle service from a remote parking lot at the Smithfield Parking lot on Virginia Tech’s campus on Smithfield Road Aug. 3-4.
The shuttle will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in 15-minute increments on Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. The shuttle will drop off and pick up at the corner of Draper and Washington Streets.
Metered parking spaces are also available on streets surrounding the Main Street corridor including Church Street, College Avenue, College Avenue Extension, Draper Road, Lee Street and Roanoke Street.
There are also metered parking lots off Church Street, Draper Road and Progress Street.
In addition to metered parking, Kent Square Parking Garage has 380 parking spaces with both hourly and daily rates available.
