Major Graham Mansion haunted tours begin Friday, Oct. 5
Deemed officially haunted by the SyFy Channel’s Ghost Hunters, the mansion welcomed 13,000 guests to “SpookyWorld,” its premier 10-day event in 2011.
This year’s haunt has expanded to include the haunted mansion, Slaves’ Quarters, Spooky Trail, Prototype 1 Time Machine, the Freak Show, the Corn Maze and the Bloody Barn. In addition, there will be food, a beverage vendor, general store and roaming ghouls.
The cost of tickets is $12/person Oct. 5-6 and Oct. 12-13. Tickets cost $15/person Oct. 19-20, Oct. 26-27, and Oct. 31. Gates open at 6 each night, and tours begin at 7:30 p.m. Parking ends at 10:30 p.m. All parked guests will be served.
SpookyWorld is located just an hour south of Roanoke and 90 minutes northwest of Winston-Salem. N.C. Take exit 84 off Interstate 81, and turn south onto the creepiest drive of your life down Major Grahams Road.
