Blacksburg Master Chorale entering 25th year
Founded in 1988, the Blacksburg Master Chorale is the oldest and largest presenter of choral music in the New River Valley. The singing group kicks off its 25th anniversary season with a concert featuring newly commissioned works and music celebrating the rich history of our home in the New River Valley. The chorale will pay tribute to our local heritage with its performance of The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass accompanied by a live bluegrass band. This will be a truly unique experience and one not to be missed!
Also on the program are original compositions including one written for the Chorale’s 25th anniversary by renowned American composer, Stephen Paulus. Rounding out the concert are several traditional pieces and a special guest appearance of the founding director, Craig Fields.
The American Originals concert will take place November 2nd at 7:30 at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church. Tickets are available from chorale members, at the door and on our website: www.blacksburgmasterchorale.org.
