February meet-the-artist reception planned at the Jacksonville Center

On Feb.9 at 4 p.m., The Jacksonville Center for the Arts will host a Meet-the-Artist reception highlighting the Hayloft and Breezeway Gallery exhibits. The current Hayloft gallery exhibit, New Voice: Young Innovation, features emerging artists. The Breezeway exhibit will feature The Old Church Gallery Quilters Guild. This exhibit opens Feb. 8.
In the event of bad weather, the reception will take place Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.
Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public, though donations will be accepted to help offset the daily operating expenses at the center.

The Jax is located at 220 Parkway Lane South in Floyd, ½ mile south of the stoplight on Route 8. Winter business hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm; Saturday, 11am to 4pm; and closed Sunday. Winter hours continue through March.
