Suzanne Vega to perform at Lyric Theatre on March 1
Suzanne Vega will perform at the Lyric Theatre in Blacksburg at 8 p.m. on March 1.
Vega, widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s singing in Greenwich Village clubs. Her distinctive, clear, vibrato-less voice has been described as “a cool, dry sandpaper-brushed near-whisper” and as “plaintive but disarmingly powerful.”
Tickets are $40 for gold and $35 for silver. There are a limited number of $17.50 student tickets available only at the theater box office. Limit one ticket per student ID.
