NRCC to offer eighth annual Youth Theatre Camp July 16-27
New River Community College’s eighth annual Youth Theater Camp will be held this summer from Monday, July 16 to Friday, July 27, in Rooker Hall at NRCC in Dublin.
The day camp for boys and girls ages 7 to 12 will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday and will be directed by Sandra Moye. The fee for the camp is $200.
Camp participants will learn basic acting skills, develop improvisational acting techniques, conquer public speaking fears, explore the creative self and collaborate with other campers to develop short scenes. Each day’s activities will also include sports, games, arts and crafts and social time.
Enrollment is limited, and interested participants may enroll by contacting the New River Community College Office of Workforce Development at 674-3613. Registration deadline is July 2.
