Hahn Horticulture Garden to host camp July 9-13
Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech and Montgomery County 4-H are hosting a one week summer half-day camp designed to encourage both creativity and an interaction with nature.
The camp will be held July 9 through 13 at the Hahn Horticulture Garden from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day.
Crafts will involve natural and recycled materials. Each day will have a theme and will include active play to get the creative juices flowing.
The day-camp will be led by faculty, staff and experienced volunteers. The camp is recommended for children ages 7 to 10. The fee for this camp is $50 which covers all supplies. Children should bring a snack for the mid-morning picnic in the garden.
Space is limited to 14. For more information or to register, contact Stephanie Huckestein at vtgarden@vt.edu or 540-231-5970.
