Extension office to offer food safety course Oct. 15 and 22
All interested persons are invited to take a “ServSafe Essentials Certification Course” taught by Virginia Cooperative Extension and New River Valley Health District. This 16-hour course is designed for food-service managers in restaurants, clubs, institutions, hotels, catering managers, chefs, dietary managers, and food and beverage managers.
The course will be taught on Oct. 15 and 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day at the Montgomery County Government Center in Christiansburg. The cost of this course is $150 per person. This fee will include textbook, exam and certificate.
Unsafe food can “spoil” your group’s reputation and its finances. Don’t take a chance. Sign up for the class and learn to protect yourself and the people you feed. To register, please contact the Pulaski Extension Office at 980-7761 for a registration form. Only 30 spaces are available so please register early.
