Brickhouse Cardio Club in Christiansburg plans to celebrate its grand opening Saturday by hosting an afternoon of free samples.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the franchise’s owner Traci Burton has invited people to try the classes offered by the venue located at 930 Roanoke St. free of charge.

According to a news release, the Christiansburg site will be the 36th location of the Charleston, W.Va.-based company, which

began in September 2008 and now spans more than 13 states.
Burton said the Christiansburg location will offer Zumba, a Latin-style dance fitness program, and  R.I.P.P.E.D., which Burton described as a program that incorporates sports-related movements and handheld weights.

Zumba classes will be offered Monday through Thursday at 6:15 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m., while R.I.P.P.E.D. classes will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m.

Burton added that like all Brickhouse locations, the Christiansburg location’s 2,500-square-foot dance studio is covered with wood floors specifically designed to decrease impact on joints.

The club has a daily walk-in price of $5, month-to-month payments at $49.99, and for those who commit to a year, payments are $34.99 a month, Burton said.
