For the first time in almost 15 years, Christiansburg will be home to a 7-Eleven convenience store.
The store, located on Roanoke Street beside Ruby Tuesday, is expected to open in mid- to late- November and will be open 365 days a year, said Margaret Chabris, 7-Eleven director of corporate communications, in an email.
Chabris said the Christiansburg location will feature all of 7-Eleven’s well-known and proprietary brands, such as Slurpee, Big Gulp and 7-Eleven coffee. The location will also serve as a gas station featuring Liberty brand fuel, however, Chabris said 7-Eleven will not have control over any gas-related issues.
She added that most of the company’s stores hire from 10 to 12 employees.
7-Eleven currently has three Blacksburg locations and one Radford location, but according to Chabris, has not had a Christiansburg location since January 1998.
