Cynthia Ring of Radford spends semester in Washington, D.C., in study-away program
SELINSGROVE, Penn. — Cynthia Ring of Radford, studied this spring in Washington, D.C., as part of the Global Opportunities program at Susquehanna University. Ring, a junior, studied communications through Lutheran Colleges Washington Semester.
Ring is majoring in creative writing and communications with an emphasis in public relations at Susquehanna and is a 2009 graduate of Radford High School. She is the daughter of Deborah and Jessee Ring.
Study away is an integral part of a Susquehanna education. In addition to optional study-away arrangements, Susquehanna is distinguished by its Global Opportunities (GO) program, which requires all students to spend at least two weeks off campus, immersed in a culture different from their own. Currently, Susquehanna students can choose from study-away programs, ranging from a few weeks to as long as a full semester, in Africa, Asia, Australia, South America, Europe, New Orleans and Washington, D.C., among other options.
