James Madison University announces 2012 honors graduates from New River Valley
The following New River Valley students graduated with honors from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., during the May 5, 2012 commencement exercises.
- Daniel Sumner of Blacksburg graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology.
- Taylor Griffith of Christiansburg graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training.
- Wenjing Lo of Blacksburg graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree.
Dr. Linwood H. Rose, who is stepping down as president of the university June 30, spoke at the ceremony Saturday, May 5. Rose conferred degrees to approximately 3,567 undergraduate students and 558 graduate students at his final commencement exercises as JMU’s fifth president.
