Some distance-learning courses start early this fall at NRCC

Among the more than 190 classes being offered this fall at New River Community College are distance-learning courses available to students through a partnership between NRCC and Northern Virginia Community College.

These courses begin Aug. 22, which is earlier than NRCC’s regular fall-semester start date.

The classes include the following: Beginning Chinese I and II, Beginning French II, Intermediate French I and II, Beginning German II, Intermediate German I and II, Women in American History, History of Virginia I and II, Beginning Japanese I and II, Meteorology, Elements of Astronomy, Photojournalism I and Beginning Russian I and II.

The full fall schedule is available at nr.edu/schedule. Current students may register for classes online by visiting their student accounts.

Prospective NRCC students may visit nr.edu/admissions for enrollment information.
