Hollins University names several NRV residents as honor students
The following students from the New River Valley have been named Honor Students for the 2012 fall semester. To attain this distinction, students must earn at least a 3.5 average on a 4.0 grading scale.
- Catherine Worrell Graham, a junior French major, daughter of Richard and RuthAnne Graham of Christiansburg, graduate of Christiansburg High School
- Jacqueline Worrell Graham, a first-year at Hollins, daughter of Richard and RuthAnne Graham of Christiansburg, graduate of Christiansburg High School
- Corinne Sheffield McCoy, a first-year, daughter of Harry and Catherine McCoy of Blacksburg, graduate of Blacksburg High School
- McNair Ozmer Mittle of New Castle, an adult Horizon biology major
Hollins is an independent liberal arts university offering undergraduate education to women, selected graduate programs for men and women, and community outreach initiatives. Its distinctions include a nationally ranked creative writing program, one of the oldest study abroad programs in the country, and extensive internship opportunities.
