Police arrest a Dublin man who allegedly impersonated a police officer on Facebook
Dublin Police made an arrest last week in an incident they said involved a man impersonating a police officer to harass Facebook users, the department said in a release.
Burton Alden Tuttle, 21, of Dublin, was charged with three counts of impersonating a police officer.
Police said Tuttle opened a fake account posing as an officer within the Dublin Police Department. He then allegedly accused people within Pulaski County of various crimes using the account, police said.
After being notified, two Dublin officers began an investigation, which was solved in two-and-a-half hours.
Tuttle gave a full confession after questioning, police said. He was arrested Nov. 23 and is currently being held without bond in the New River Regional Valley Jail.
