Gross. I bought a combo today: BBQ, chicken nuggets, onion rings, chocolate chip mint “shake.” I opened the box when I had gotten back to work in Christiansburg and the BBQ had slaw on it. They didn’t even indicate it would nor do I want slaw on my BBQ. Ever. The chicken nuggets were disgusting. The onion rings were hot and crunchy – but that’s about all I can say for those. The “shake” wasn’t a shake. It was a huge load of ice cream in a cup. It tasted decent, but I would’ve preferred a smaller cup.

I won’t be back. I want to email corporate, but there’s no email listed anywhere for them.

food was great excellent service as well this place will for sure last and prosper if they keep it up bbq is best i have had in virginia milkshakes

Food was not good. This place won’t last. The burger was burnt. My combo cost over 7 bucks so I don’t know why people are saying it’s cheap. Costs more than Wendy’s and isn’t as good. Will not return.

Very good food. This will be my go to place from now on. Just waiting on the newness to wear off to where it wont be so crowded. For those complaining about the service and food what do you expect when a new restaurant comes to town and they are very busy trying to get hundreds of customers taken care of? Give it another try in a couple of weeks and see if they have improved

tried it thursday night . The guy in fornt of us took forever to order and they got his order wrong. The menu isn’t organized to faciltate a quick order. It’s better to go inside rather than drive thru for your first time. My overall impression was : it was ok. Not great , ( dont order chicken nuggets , they were bad ), Not as bad as some fast food. The hamburgers and BBQ are overrated. Fries are good. Milkshakes taste a lot like MCd’s. Price is very low. customer service was a bit rushed – we were only ones in line and the guy threw our food at us and slammed door shut – not rude, he was just in abig hurry for something. I probably won’t go back . They will impact somewhere like Dude’s, Wendy’s, more than 5 guys. Come to think of it , it was like a cheaper Dude’s

How can you beat a 99 cent BLT? I tried the Barbecue sandwich and onion rings. They hit the spot perfectly for a total of $4!. It wasn’t Due South Barbecue or Bull and Bones, but for fast food it was a welcome change and the price is right!

Drove past there after I got home from work, and they were completely packed! The drive thru line wrapped around the building, the inside was full, and people had to park across Rte 11 in a vacant lot that use dto house some repair shops and car washes year ago. It was still pretty busy later in the evening too.

I’m looking forward to other fast food options off of S. Main St in Blacksburg besides Wendy’s. I do wonder if they chose the wrong neighbor for competition though (ie. Our Daily Bread). But sometimes I’m either in a hurry or I have my little ones with me and I won’t even consider a walk-in restaurant. I also have been pining for a drive-thru with decent coffee for some time. For times like those I look forward to Cook Out’s drive thru!
