Radford City Council and School Board candidates plan to meet for an election forum on April 3 in the Radford High School auditorium.
Audience members can ask questions at the 7 p.m. event, according to an announcement sent out by organizers.
Three candidates are running for two council seats in the May 1 election: incumbents Dick Harshberger and Bob Nicholson, and longtime mayor and councilman Tom Starnes, who left council in 2010 but hopes to return.
Two open School Board seats have attracted three candidates as well: Ken Alderman, Jack Brockway and Bill Flora.
The event is being put on by the city, the League of Women Voters, the NAACP, Public Radio WVRU 89.9 FM, the Radford Chamber of Commerce, and Main Street Radford. An audio recording of the forum will be archived at www.wvru.org, and it will be broadcast by the station on April 19.

Bill Flora is an incumbent. You noted both Nicholson and Harshberger, you even noted Starnes’ experience, but you gave no props to Flora. What’s up with that?
