Explosion shakes up Radford foundry

Radford Fire Chief Lee Simpkins called the blast reported at 12:15 a.m. and the resulting fire the worst he’d seen at the auto parts maker since a March 2000 catastrophe that killed three workers and destroyed much of the plant.
