Blacksburg police investigate overnight explosion that damaged parked vehicle

Authorities are investigating an explosion in Blacksburg that damaged a passenger vehicle.

Blacksburg police say an improvised explosive device exploded near several parked vehicles at about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Harrell Street.

Local, state and federal authorities are investigating.
