Virginia Tech research center’s new third floor will house labs and vivarium

Only the shell of the third floor had been completed when the institute opened two years ago. Last year, the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors approved $15 million to complete the project. The space will provide 27,000 square feet for labs and a vivarium that will hold animals to be used by researchers.
