More than 270 companies expected at Virginia Tech’s Engineering Expo

More than 270 companies and government agencies and more than 5,000 students are expected to be on hand for the job fair, according to the Student Engineers’ Council, which is hosting the event.

  1. This is great that Tech is able to draw so many corporations to campus for those seeking employment. A question and a request, which VT may already be doing, but if not I hope this gets to them.

    Is the VTCRC also meeting with the business developers from those corporations? I think it would be brilliant if the CRC planned to give those who would be a good fit in the complex a tour and work on-going to bring some of those businesses here to set up shop for research, back office operations and other business growth functions.

    Perhaps it is a joint effort between the CRC, Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Montgomery Co Economic Development teams. It is a unique moment when you have critical mass in town to show what we’ve got to offer and the sites we have for development.

    Just an idea.
