3-car collision in Montgomery County sends 2 to hospital, clogs traffic on I-81 south

A three-vehicle crash blocked Interstate 81 south in Montgomery County for an hour and a half Thursday.

About 5 p.m., a tractor-trailer was slowing down along with the traffic in the right lane when a GMC SUV drifted over and struck the truck, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Rob Carpentieri. A Toyota pickup truck then hit the SUV.
