Black Friday starts early for New River Valley shoppers

CHRISTIANSBURG — Black Friday didn’t waste any time making its grand appearance this holiday season.
The doors of the New River Valley Mall burst open at midnight Friday, luring hundreds of shoppers to the bargains inside. Just across the road, Best Buy and Old Navy also got a midnight start.
