Warm Hearth Village wins Business of the Year award
Warm Hearth Village was named the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 Business of the Year.
The nonprofit senior living community was recognized for its contributions to economic and community development in the New River Valley at the chamber’s annual awards banquet. It was nominated and voted upon by peers in the business community. This is the second time the chamber has given Warm Hearth this award in a decade.
“All of our good works are the direct result of a dedicated team of employees, board members and volunteers,” said Warm Hearth CEO and president Ferne Moschella in a news release. “I could not be more proud, or more grateful, to be a part of this great organization.”
At the banquet, Warm Hearth employees Shannon Hammons and Ellen Rorrer received diplomas for their completion of the chamber’s business leadership program.
Leadership NRV is led by Sharon Scott, and this year’s class of 24 students from various businesses contributed more than 300 volunteer hours over the course of 10 months. Their focus was on raising awareness of needs in the community, and learning and applying skills and techniques to establish business relationships and communication networks to meet those needs.
