Giles County family stays positive after Christmas Eve fire

On Monday night, members of a large Giles County family were eating Christmas Eve dinner when a police officer showed up in the driveway.

June Lawson was hosting the event, but her son-in-law, Jimmy McCroskey, who lives next door, talked to the officer.

“I think you have a house fire,” the officer told McCroskey, he recalled.
