Governor names three with New River Valley ties to school safety task force
Del. Joseph Yost, (R-Blacksburg)
Gov. Bob McDonnell has named three people with ties to the New River Valley to his new school and campus safety task force.
They are:
* Del. Joseph Yost, R-Blacksburg
* Gene Deisinger, deputy chief and director of threat management at Virginia Tech
* Allen Hill, the father of Rachael Elizabeth Hill, who was killed in the 2007 Virginia Tech mass shooting.
McDonnell issued an executive order last month establishing the task force in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut.
