Former Virginia Tech employee found guilty of assaulting ex-supervisor

A former Virginia Tech employee was convicted Thursday of assault and battery of a supervisor last year.

DeWayne Edward Wilburn, 49, was sentenced to six months in jail and 12 months of supervised probation for a scuffle in December with a supervisor at the university’s power plant.
