  1. Approve it, build it, creates jobs, tax revenue, quality housing in a completely logical location on already improved roads and will benefit area businesses at University Mall.

  2. A review of the developer’s website reveals the homes are quite nice; not the typical “apartment building style” and are very, very, very similar in design to The Village at Tom’s Creek, all the more reason to encourage moving forward with this project.

  3. The fact that there will soon be a highschool just down the road, in addition to the middle school, the elementary school beside it, as well as the new elementary school further down prices fork? Does that not seem like a lot of potential traffic and congestion issues are likely to happen?

  4. Lather, rinse, repeat. Wasn’t this the same project that was proposed for Glade Rd. back in the spring, then withdrawn after the NIMBY crowd got activated?

It would be nice if the entrance to this place (if it makes it through Blacksburg approval gauntlet) has its entrance off Plantation Rd. across from the Comfort Suites. If there is an entrance onto Prices Fork, then we’ll be stuck with yet another ill-timed traffic-slowing red light on Prices Fork Rd.

  5. Traffic on Price’s Fork Rd. with all the schools and St. Mary’s church is almost unbearable now. If it is built I hope it is on the east side of her house.

  6. Joe Hokie, yes…I believe it’s the same development group, and roughly the same proposed size for the development…something in the range of 800-1000 bedrooms.
