Christiansburg hosts Border Wars basketball tournament

Christiansburg will host its inaugural Border Wars girls’ basketball tournament June 20 – June 23 at Christiansburg High School.
The tournament will feature 10 high school teams from both Virginia and North Carolina, including Floyd, Blacksburg, Auburn, Hidden Valley, Carroll County and Glenvar.
The tournament will be broken into two sections. The round-robin section will begin June 20 at 2 p.m. and will provide the seeding for the double-elimination tournament scheduled to being on Friday at 2 p.m.
Tournament passes will be available for $25.
Day passes will be available at the following rates: Wednesday $7, Thursday $10, Friday $10, Saturday $7. Ages 10 and under $5 each day.
Concessions will be available each day.
All proceeds will go to the Christiansburg Lady Blue Demons Basketball Boosters.
