End wasteful spending in schools
The Montgomery County School Board should be ashamed to propose budget increases after its redistricting debacle. After months of study and a cost of more than $85,000, the board voted to change attendance zones. This decision will reassign 121 students to different schools.
Why did they waste $85,000 of taxpayers’ money hiring a consulting firm? For the same reason taxpayers are footing the bill for an unnecessary new Blacksburg High School. No one has the nerve to do his job and make the unpopular yet wisest decisions.
