All that has been done is to take the right to protect oneself from aggression. The police are here to clean up the situation and to enforce the laws, NOT TO PROTECT AND SERVE.

I am not sure that allowing guns on campus is the answer here. I am a gun supporter, But guns and drunk college students is not a good idea. Yes its true that if students where armed things may have been different on the other hand. The wrong student may have been killed or innocent people could have been hit in the crossfire. If you choose to carry a gun thats fine but education and tactics also need to be addressed when doing so.

All this does is alert “IDIOTS” that there will be no restiance to keeping them from doing the same at Radford University. It is my opinion that if students at VT that had concealed permits were allow to have their gun with them on campus several lives could have been saved. FYI: This come from someone who does not own a gun.

Now they have to post signs everywhere on campus prohibiting weapons. Or the ban will be meaningless because one of the 300,000 legally licensed concealed carriers, will only know it’s prohibited by the signage. No signage equals people carrying on campus.
