Hokie parking abuses ancient oaks

Despite the public outcry of literally tens of thousands of people to save and permanently protect the old-growth campus forest at Virginia Tech known as Stadium Woods, abuses of the ancient white oak trees and their ecosystem abound. Virginia Tech stubbornly continues to park both football players’ and fans’ vehicles in the woods under the tree canopy and on the root zones.
