Pick up a banned book at the library

Lately, Americans have been thinking about how committed they really are to free speech. People of good conscience call for YouTube to pull a puerile video that has sparked outrage, riots and indefensible murder in Arab nations. They warn that some speech goes too far.
At moments like this, America needs reminding that free speech is an essential part of a free society. That is where Banned Books Week comes in.
