A good year for Christiansburg

In 2012, Christiansburg faced many challenges, from two natural disasters — a derecho and Hurricane Sandy — to economic problems at the federal, state and local levels. But the town had numerous accomplishments. Listed below are some of the achievements that led to a successful year.
The fire department answered 856 calls, 47 percent of them in less than five minutes.
Huppert is a Christiansburg town councilman.
