As part of sixth-grade career exploration, Regina Edwards, parts manager, and Jimmy Politis, service manager, of Shelor Motor Mile, recently  discussed various automotive career paths with sixth-grade students at Auburn Middle School.

Four eighth-grade students from Auburn Middle School spent the morning touring various departments and stores at Shelor Motor Mile. These students learned about various career opportunities and day-to-day business operations at a car dealership which include sales, service, parts and finance. They met with managers in each of the following areas: Toyota Sales, Business Office, Finance, Valvoline Express Care, Cars Financial, Shelor Select, IT Department, Superstore, Wholesale, KIA Sales, Shelor Chevrolet, Shelor Motor Mile Graphics, and Detail Department.

Shelor Motor Mile supports 31 local schools through the Growing the Future Community Partnership program, which began in 2010. For more information about this program, visit Shelor.com, Growing the Future link.
