Finalists set for Shelor’s Growing the Future Talent Show

Shelor Motor Mile will award over $50,000 in prize money to the most talented local high school students in the New River Valley at the Growing the Future Talent Show on October 20,7pm, at Christiansburg High School Auditorium.

Tickets are on sale now at these high schools: Auburn, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Floyd, Giles, Narrows, Pulaski, and Radford for $10 adults and $3 students. 100% of ticket proceeds support the school where purchased.

The hosts for the evening are K92 Mornin’ Thang: Danny, Zack and Miss Monica.

These are the participants from each local high school. From Auburn: Max Tomlin (male guitar), Dillon Pastore (male dance), from Blacksburg: Jessica Vance (female vocal), Megan Carlier (female cello), from Christiansburg: Caleb Caldwell, Leah Piemonte, Jessica Watson, Luke Williams, (male/female band) Matt Fleischer, Nicholas Hodges, Preston Lattimer, Luke Williams, (male/female band) from Floyd County: Max D’Amico (male guitar), Jordon Ronan (male vocal), Giles: Sydney Hawks (female), Diamond Meadows (female vocal) Narrows: CJ Ferguson (male vocal), Brooke Taylor (female vocal), Pulaski County: Mariah Hinton (female vocal), Carrie Pascoe (female dance), Radford: Sarah Davis (female dance), Josh Mullins (male monologue).

Cash Awards are as follows: Grand Prize is $20,000 to the high school and $2500 to student; 2nd place is $10,000 to high school and $1500 to the student; 3rd place is $5,000 to high school and $1000 to student, and 4th place $2500 to the high school and $500 to the student.  The school awards must be used for a school improvement that benefits the entire student body.
