Willis Elementary’s Fire Safety Assembly — presented by the Willis Fire Station members — was held Thursday, Oct. 11.

The theme this year for Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 7-13, is “Have Two Ways Out.” The assembly held for K-3 students included safety information on the importance of smoke alarms; finding two ways out; Stop, Drop, Cover Your Face, and Roll; crawling low in smoke; and how a fireman is “your friend,” there to help you in case of a fire.
