“Battle of the Burgs” competition to benefit Montgomery County Christmas Store
The football game titled by many as “The Battle Of The Burgs” is set for Friday when the Blacksburg Bruins will travel across town to take on the Blue Demons at Christiansburg High School at 7:30 p.m.
This season the competition between two towns won’t just be on the field, but will also take place among the fans as they participate in the first-ever Battle of the Burgs food and school supplies drive.
Fans are encouraged to drop off canned food items and/or school supplies as they enter the stadium in containers labeled for either Blacksburg or Christiansburg. The donations will be tallied and the winning school announced at the end of the third quarter.
All donations will then be delivered to the Montgomery County Christmas Store.
