Blacksburg soccer standout brings overseas experience home

BLACKSBURG — Perennial Group AA boys soccer powerhouse Blacksburg is poised to make a strong run at another state title this season, and the return of Eli Betz has a lot to do with that.
The senior forward returned to the Bruins’ lineup after spending 2011 playing for a high-school-level amateur soccer club in Germany.
