Weather forces Hokies to cancel spring game

BLACKSBURG – Frank Beamer felt a good crowd was coming for Virginia Tech’s spring game. He kept telling the mass of recruits the Hokies had on hand to prepare for a great atmosphere in Lane Stadium.

“The weather didn’t go with us,” Beamer said, shortly after the game was canceled because of rain and lightning.

It didn’t seem to affect anything on the recruiting front.
