His team’s 42-7 win against lowly Austin Peay wasn’t a thing of beauty by any means, but leave it to Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer to have the proper perspective after playing two games in six days.
“The last time we did that we were 0-2 right now,” he said. “At least we’re 2-0.”
