Win cures Hokies’ hangover

For most of the first quarter Saturday against Bowling Green, the Hokies played like there was still a hangover from the Pittsburgh debacle a week ago.
No blocking. Errant passes. Untimely penalties on both sides of the ball. Some scattered boos even rained down from a frustrated Lane Stadium crowd.
Then it all came together — consistently for the first time this year, really — as the Hokies pounded Bowling Green 37-0, a much-needed bounce back performance after last week’s uninspired loss at Pittsburgh.
