Just days after his breakout performance at running back, Virginia Tech’s Tony Gregory was back in a blue, limited-participation jersey at practice Tuesday, a precaution on a rain-slicked field because of his surgically repaired left knee.
It was all too fitting for the junior from Virginia Beach, whose promise as a play-maker has always been tempered by a rash of ACL tears throughout his career.
But he’s always worked his way back.
