LANDOVER, Md. — So lopsided was Virginia Tech’s loss to Pittsburgh two weeks ago, that it was hard to dwell on. One catch, one tackle, one yard didn’t make the difference.

But the 27-24 loss to Cincinnati at FedEx Field on Saturday — a game decided on a 39-yard touchdown catch by Bearcats receiver Damon Julian with 13 seconds left — will stick with the Hokies for a while.
