Foster goes to bat for Virginia Tech’s defense

As reporters peppered Virginia Tech cornerback Antone Exum with questions Monday night, a clearly agitated defensive coordinator Bud Foster sat a few feet away and watched, his temperature rising.
He stewed, audibly scoffing after one question. Once it was his turn, he didn’t hold back, defending the play of Exum against Cincinnati.
“Played his a– off,” Foster said, but a few of the colorful words he chose to make his point.
