For perhaps the first time in his career, Bruce Taylor looked lost last Saturday. Mystified. Spent. Bereft of answers.
The Virginia Tech defense — HIS Virginia Tech defense — had just given up 533 yards and 48 points in a loss to North Carolina. Taylor’s mannerisms suggested he had no idea how that could be.
