As he spent Saturday afternoon preparing for Oscar Smith High School’s next contest, coach Rich Morgan kept stealing glances at the Virginia Tech game on television.

His former star running back, J.C. Coleman, had a breakout game for the Hokies, streaking down the field with long touchdown runs of 45 and 86 yards against Duke.

“It was just kind of reminiscent of what he used to do for us,” Morgan said. “He just used to be able to hit those holes and outrun everybody to the end zone.”
