New River United 97 advances to President’s Cup Final

The NRU U15 boys advanced to the finals of the Virginia Youth Soccer Association statewide President’s Cup competition after beating BAC Blue Thunder at Capital Park in Richmond on Saturday. The game was tied at 3 until NRU scored two goals in the final eight minutes to win 5-3.
The U15 boys advance to the state finals in Richmond on Oct. 27. They will play the Herndon Red Devils to determine which team represents Virginia in the Region I Presidents Cup tournament.
